Attorney Profile

Brian Bouffard is a Texas native, born and raised in Fort Worth and Arlington.  After earning his Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Christian University in 1992, Brian worked as a case investigator for Child Protective Services in Tarrant County.  In 1997, Brian graduated with honors from Duke University School of Law, and joined the U.S. Navy JAG Corps.  An honor graduate of the Naval Justice School, Brian served five years on active duty as the only Navy officer in a Marine Corps legal detachment, where he successfully prosecuted and defended an unprecedented number of courts-martial, or military criminal cases.  Brian has earned the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the JAG Corps.

After leaving active duty, Brian remained a reservist, defending a large number of Marines and sailors as a Navy Appellate Defense Counsel, while also maintaining civilian employment with a law firm in Dallas.  Brian eventually returned to Fort Worth to accept a position as a Tarrant County Assistant Criminal District Attorney, where he continued to hone his skills as a trial lawyer.  Now, Brian enjoys what he considers the pinnacle of his career of service – he is a solo criminal defense attorney with the education, training, experience, and skill to handle even the toughest and most complicated cases.
